Spring Practice Period
30 days of movement, meditation, and mind practices
taught on the instagram platform through a private group/ IG live April 1-30
How would it feel to start your day (or end it or anywhere in between) with 20-30 minutes exploring your breath, body and stillness? You can do these practices live at 7:30am (weekdays) or with the saved recorded video on the IG page in your own time. Weekends will be a combination of live practices and pre-recorded meditation instruction. This is an accessible practice period regardless of your schedule.
FAQ

Instagram is a free platform for anyone to use! When I speak with patients about their morning routines and habitual patterns, scrolling on their phones, specifically on social media, comes up. Spring Practice Period offers a disruption from the scrolling- a chance to tune into yourself instead of tuning out!

I am offering 2 affordable price points because I want it to be accessible to as many people as possible! The higher price could be chosen if you are planning to practice with your partner, roommate, or kids, or if it is within your means. If you are unable to afford the lower price, please reach out and I would be happy to work with you!

Nope! When you gain access to the private Instagram group, you will find preloaded videos instructing you on proper meditation postures. Guidance and suggestions will be provided throughout the 30 day practice period. These practices are focused on beginners and all students with a "beginner's mind."

Not at all! This is meant to be a very flexible period of practice. Some days your practice might be to do the live, some days to do the recording at lunchtime, and some days it might be to stay off IG completely!
You could focus on movement only and not meditation. You could commit (to yourself) to 3 mornings a week for the 30 days. Part of the practice is having flexibility and meeting yourself where you are at.

The private Instagram page will remain up for the first week or so of May so that you can catch up on any days you have missed or repeat your favourite days :)
Julie has been a certified yoga instructor since 2010, a student of zen meditation practices since 2012, and in 2013 began her journey as an osteopathic manual practitioner. She is eager to share her boundless wisdom and commit to teaching and practicing together for the month of April.
At zen centres around the world, there are specific carved out periods of time lasting a few weeks to a few months, where students can come and live and drop into practice. Spring is a time for freshness and new beginnings. Join Julie through the digital realm and enjoy the opportunity to work with your body, harness the powers of your mind, and practice deeply.
This is a wonderful opportunity to practice with Julie regardless of where you live! Students can join in from all over the world. If you haven't had a chance to come for an osteopathic treatment, this is a wonderful way to connect and help your body mechanics and learn or revisit a meditation practice. If you are a patient of Julie's, this is a helpful way to assist your body in becoming more functional and feeling really good!
